Jose Clemente Orozco, “Taking over all the walls”, Cabañas Museum in the Mexican city of Guadalajara

The evolution of the technique and aesthetics that brought international recognition to Mexican muralist Jose Clemente Orozco are the central axis of the exhibition “Taking over all the walls” that was inaugurated this Saturday at the Cabañas Museum in the Mexican city of Guadalajara.

The exhibition shows for the first time in 40 years 221 pieces made by the painter, from 1922 to 1949, which are part of the museum’s collection. They are drawings, tempera, inks and charcoals that were sketches or studies for some of his best-known murals, explains curator Victor Palacios to Efe. EFE Via Reuters
